    Considering Colon Cleansing?

"Colonics" is a popular process of trying to improve colon/intestinal health by removing built-up material and infections, producing better BMs (more regular and more normal) along with improved health.

There are several techniques for colon cleansing, including fasts, specialized diets, drinking teas & powders, and even colon hydrotherapy.

It is good to learn about this topic and to check with a health professional too!

  • Infant Bowel Movement

What is an Infant Bowel Movement?

An infant bowel movement is a poop created by a newborn infant or relatively young baby.  For a baby, a bowel movement is a really big event – perhaps the most interesting few minutes of the entire day.  Parents get really excited about baby BMs too, because it usually means that their newly born child is healthy.

    Cause of Infant Bowel Movements

Infants need to have bowel movements because infants ingest food. Unlike the more solid and large adult bowel movements you may be used to, infants typically poop a much smaller amount of feces.  Baby BMs are also much less solid than adult poop, due to the lack of solid food (fibre, pieces of corn, peanuts, etc.) that most adults eat. Imagine what an adult’s bowel movement would look like if they ate only milk for several days in a row, and that’s what an infant bowel movement looks like.

    Cure for Infant Bowel Movements

The best cure for infant bowel movements is time, at which point the infant will eat more solid foods and behave like an older person. Infant bowel movements, though smelly, messy, ill-timed, and persistent, really are an excellent sign of a baby’s health.

For questions about your infant’s bowel activity, be sure to consult your doctor or health professional. Baby’s can’t talk, but you can learn a lot about how they’re feeling by what they put in their pants.
