Painful Bowel Movement
What is a Painful Bowel Movement?
Any excretion of feces that hurts is a painful bowel movement. The pain can be centered around the anus or deeper within the abdomen.
Cause of Painful Bowel Movements
There are four common causes of painful bowel activity, including:
- tissue irregularity within the intestine or rectum
- a burning or spicy bowel movement, causing tissue irritation
- an exceptionally large bowel movement
- muscle tension within the anus, often due to stress
Cure for Painful Bowel Movements
Depending on the cause, a variety of cures are available to help relieve a pattern of painful bowel movements. Any persistent occurrence of pain while eliminating solid waste should be discussed with a medial professional.
If you have simply had a single painful bowel movement or are in the midst of one right now, unfortunately there is no cure - only time to recover from the pain and get on with life!
